Week 14: Mid Week Check-in

I haven't been out walking yet, despite the lovely spring weather we've been having, but I did walk up the stairs yesterday. The hardest step is that first one out the door - so I think I need to plan to go somewhere every day to make sure I at least take a short walk and/or walk up the stairs.I have been eating an apple every morning when I wake up. I was doing that for a long time but somehow got away from it. See More

Janet Barclay commented on Nancy Cormier's blog post 'no idea what day or week it is..'
I hear ya, Nancy! I find January to be a terrible time to try and start developing healthy habits. Eating better, maybe, because after all the holiday treats you're ready to smarten up again (although it takes me way past January 1 to finish up…

no idea what day or week it is..

So I have fallen off the band wagon and not kept track of my exercise routine or doing it as faithfully as I Had been doing earlier in the year when everyone means well and starts on their new y ears resolution to lose weight.Good news is I haven't gained weight but bad news is I haven't really lost any weight when I had wanted to do so badly this year. Oh well.. we all have set backs. I did however start running with my neighbors and since get out at least 2-3 times a week for over an hour so…See More

Great attitude, Marie! Reminds me of the saying "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." No point dwelling on the past or worrying about the future - all we have is today. Looking forward to joining you on some of those outside…

I was having so much fun doing the daily emails that I forgot to focus on my own progress and do a midweek update! At least that's one excuse. Summary for Week 11 and Goals for Week 12

But first, a couple of comments:I noticed that I accidentally titled last week's post "Summary for Week 10 and Goals for Week 9"? Is that proof that I was backsliding? LOLI didn't do my regular mid-week check-in because (a) I was busy and being very productive and (b) it didn't seem worthwhile to log in just to report that I'd done the stairs once and that was it.Not that I have much else to say now...Here's a recap of my goals for the week and how I made out (bolded):Walk 5 km zippoWalk up 7…See More
